Vehicle TagsJMW Tiger Tag Where the bus has no electronic ticket machine, or the machine is not compatible with RTPI systems, a JMW Tiger Under Vehicle Tag may be used in some instances. JMW Tiger Reader The JMW Tiger Reader can be mounted easily within a 3U equipment rack or a Haldo pillar situated at the road side. Where the Tiger Reader is mounted within a 3U equipment rack the reader is connected its loop via a twin-axial cable. This twin-axial cable is normally placed in ducting or in some cases can be slot cut into the road surface. Where the Tiger Reader is mounted within a Haldo pillar a choice is available for connecting back to the traffic signal controller. The link can be via the JMW Radio Modem, or a communications cable can be installed between the reader and traffic signal controller. When the JMW Tiger Reader is used in conjunction with the JMW Radio Modem, the reader can also be used to trasnmit other SCOOT related data, thereby saving on expensive civil works installing ducting. Each Tiger Reader has volt free output contacts and serial interfaces. |
